The Cry of the Heart  †

Role Playing Method

In this technique, you need to have a member of your team that will pretend to be a part of the crowd.  He or she could be reading the paper, looking out of a window, etc.  This will be taking place where many people are just hanging out, such as a crowded bus station or bus stop.

Then, another member of the team approaches the first  team member, and starts to witness to them.   They pretend to "get saved", and all the while, everyone around them can hear what is going on.  This is a seed that is planted in their hearts.  Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.  Then after you get your team member "saved", then you can easily go around to the rest of the people in the crowd, and pray with them.  Sometimes when people see what you are doing, and see someone that is receptive to your message, then they are more likely to receive themselves.

Some people might feel that this is being a little deceptive to those who are listening.  Actually, when you are doing this, you are having a private conversation, and the other people are listening and overhear what you are saying.  They draw their own conclusions.  You never say that you don't know one another.  You are just talking, and if you have some eavesdroppers on your conversation, that is great!

The apostle Paul said : "And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law;  To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law.  To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak:  I am made all things to all [men], that I might by all means save some."  1 Cor. 9:20-22
