Your Testimony: I was called to preach and teach at the ripe old age of 14 years old. I determined at that time that I was too young to be a "preacher", so I ignored the call and ran as fast as I could from the Lord's "audible" call. As years passed, the call got louder and louder. I decided to deafen the call by diving into drugs, alcohol and pleasures of the flesh.
One night some years ago, I double dipped by smoking about four joints and then dropping some acid. I jumped into my car and started driving. Acid is a mind altering hallucinogenic and that's exactly what happened. I began to hallucinate. I was driving, and I saw a hallucination that looked all too real. I was along side a bus, and in the windows I saw passengers that were all dead or dying... skin falling off of bones and there were cries of despair and desperation. I felt sorry for them, but decided that it was their problem, and sped up. As I pulled alongside the driver's window, I looked up and noticed that the driver was a skeleton, but it had a human face--the face was mine! At the time, I realized that the Lord was saying the last time He called me without me answering the call... WAS the last time. My new wife had already given her life to the Lord and had been asking me to join her in service... but I was too busy "getting high." After that morbid, sobering vision, I RAN to the church with my wife... got saved, got filled with his Holy Spirit, and have been on fire and running for the Lord ever since.
I started Pillar of Fire Ministries initially to practice doing web sites. Since I was born again, fire baptized, Holy Ghost filled man of God, it seemed prudent to put up a Christian web site. Well, I started getting hits, e-mails and guest book entries that encouraged me to grow in the ministry. I've since gotten tax ID and am in the process of obtaining 501(c)3 status as a nonprofit organization. The Lord blessed from that time. People were blessed and began supporting the ministry--hallelujah!
Outside of the internet ministry, I am the assistant Pastor of New Ground Harvest Church in Los Angeles, California. We have a web site at http://www.newgroundharvest.org that I invite all to peruse. It's an anointed, Bible believing, Bible teaching ministry.
Would you like to share a word of wisdom? Advice? I've received many words of encouragement, donations, support, and love that has shown me that the Lord is really and powerfully using the internet to reach even farther than we imagined.
