Israel ~ The Land of Glory!
In this section we will see Ariel, the Mount of the Beatitudes, the Sea of Galilee, Massada and Qumran.
Do you remember what was said about the Roman Theatres? The acoustics are so good, that no amplification was needed. On the Mount of the Beatitudes, the same thing applied. But this was a natural ampitheatre. When someone stands on the bottom of the hill, their voice carries, and you can hear it from a long distance away. So the pictures that we see of Jesus, standing on the top of the hill, preaching to the crowd is very probably wrong. It was more likely that he was standing down below, and preaching to the people sitting on the hillside. Then, it is very possible that even back then thousands would have been able to hear him preach at one sitting.
As He preached the Beatitudes, he related to the people sitting there those things that were familiar to them, and that were close at hand. He told them to consider the birds of the air, and the flowers of the field. As you sit on that hillside, the melody of wild birds fill the air, and the perfume of thousands of wildflowers are everywhere. Wild mustard, and lilies and wheat spears... All of which are mentioned in Jesus' sermon.
The first pictures that you see in the slide show are from a city called Ariel. They have discovered a scripture in Jeremiah 31:5 which says that "Thou shalt yet plant vines upon the mountains of Samaria; the planters shall plant, and shall eat them as common things." In the Hebrew it is rendered as "the Nazarim shall come and plant vines upon the hills of Samaria." The Nazarim were the followers of the Nazarene, which is another name for Jesus. This was a prophetic word by the Prophet Jeremiah, written hundreds of years before the birth of Jesus. When the residents of Ariel, a city in Samaria saw that scripture, they were happy to let us come and fulfill scripture, by planting grapevines there. They gave us each a certificate. And I had to get a couple of pictures of my grapevine!

Donations
Would you like to participate in sending people out on the missions field? If you would like to give financially, and be a blessing to thousands of people, I would like to give you the opportunity to help. I believe that when we give, it is given back to us, and God multiplies it so that it is more than we can contain.
