The Cry of the Heart  †

Redemption

We have seen that sin and sickness, fear, and death came into the world as the result of sin.  Jesus came to this earth as an answer to the sin problem, to put us back into a right relationship with God, and to set us free from the curse that had been put upon the earth because of sin.  The following are some of the scriptures  about what Jesus did for us to redeem us.  When something or someone is redeemed, the price has been paid and it is bought back.  For instance, if you were in trouble financially, and you had a valuable bracelet that you took to a pawn shop.  You give them your bracelet in exchange for some money.  In order to get it back, you need to redeem it, or buy back the same thing that was yours.   Jesus paid the price for us, so that we can go free.

One other thing that I would like to mention here is in regards to deliverance.  There are many different ideas about "deliverance ministries" and what that entails, and I want to tell you that I have seen some very weird things in regards to this.  When I am my children were going through some really hard times, I sought help from any place that would listen to me, and with some that didn't give me the time of day.  I investigated every avenue, including not only the secular counseling and help that you can get through psychological methods, but also through many churches and ministries that were dealing with deliverance.  Most of the time, the people that did "deliverance" within the church were weirder than anything that I had ever seen before.  Why was that?  I believe that their focus was wrong.

One day, as I was out taking a walk, and seeking God in prayer, God told me something that I hope that I never forget.  He told me, "If you look for demons, you will find them.  But do not forget that My hand is there also."  He was not denying the presence of the demons, but God is greater.  We look to him as our source, as our protector, as our guide in all that we do.

I don't think that the devil even minds if we continually are looking for demons everywhere.  Then we are looking to the devil, and not to God.  Our focus and our attention is swayed from our first love, and it is almost as if we are glorifying what the devil is doing in our lives.  Many Christians talk more about the devil than they do about God.

Another thing that I have found is the teaching about generational curses that get passed down from one generation to the next.  I agree that there are things like that, but if God shows you something, you deal with it and it is over.  Please don't go out trying to find out what curses are on you or your life.  If you do, I am sure that you will see all kinds of things, and the devil will agree with all of them.  Because then you are agreeing with him and he will certainly give it to you if you don't already have it.  If you want it, you can have any curse that you allow there.  But you don't have to have any of it.  They are no longer a part of your nature or your genetic heritage.  You now have a new nature, and a new Father, and have been translated out of the kingdom or darkness and into the kingdom of God's dear Son, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

You have been redeemed from the Curse of the Law, and are now free.  We lay aside the old, and put on the new man.  The anointing of God flows through your veins.  You are in Him and He is in you, and you are seated with Him in heavenly places.  And as it is in heaven, so it is here on this earth.  When the devil looks at you, he doesn't see you.  He sees Jesus standing there.  When you get up in the morning, every devil in hell should be saying, "Oh no!  He is up again!"  But you also need to know who you are in Him.

Would you like to participate in sending people out on the missions field?  If you would like to give financially, and be a blessing to thousands of people, I would like to give you the opportunity to help.  I believe that when we give, it is given back to us, and God multiplies it so that it is more than we can contain.
