Steps to Recieve Healing
There are many different methods that God uses to manifest our healing. Just as varied as our own personalities, our experiences and our own bodies, the Holy Spirit ministers differently to each of us. God knows exactly what we need, and what it will take for us to receive our healing, whether it be physical or emotional or spiritual.
A lot of what we see and feel and experience begins in the mind. Ask any doctor or counselor or psychiatrist how much your mental state has to do with your physical state. There is a connection between the mind and body that is very real. If you think that you are sick, you will be sick. If you are constantly thinking negative thoughts, and continually are fighting with people and living in unforgiveness and bitterness, you have more of a chance of developing something in your physical body that is a manifestation of the spiritual condition. Doctors have found that people who have a positive attitude, and especially those people who pray and have faith in God, have a much higher chance of recovery than those who don't. So how do we know where we are at in our spiritual condition? In Romans 14:17 it says:
"For the Kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost."
Do the thoughts that we are thinking produce thoughts of light..."righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost," or do they produce dark thoughts...fear and anxious thoughts? Do they produce bitterness, anger and rage towards another human being? Does sickness and disease produce "righteousness, peace and joy?" Of course not!
If our thoughts are "light" thoughts, then we remain within the parameters of Gods kingdom. Each one of the "dark" thoughts are like an open door, that lets in unwanted visitors. If you leave your door open in your house, you might have some unexpected and unwanted visitors, some of which you might have some problems getting rid of. When you leave these doors open in your mind, the devil will make sure that what you are experiencing is part of his kingdom. When we step through those doors, we are walking outside of God's kingdom, and outside of the protection that He has for us. We experience "dark" thoughts of fear, insecurity, anger and rage, and we have no peace. We go into depression.
How do we step out of the kingdom of light and into the kingdom of darkness? People do it all the time. First they will get a suggestion in their head of something that they know is wrong, but it appeals to their flesh. They entertain that thought, and soon it becomes a fantasy, and that fantasy will soon progress into blatant sin. This will effectively remove us from the Kingdom of light through the righteousness door. If the devil can't get you through the righteousness door, then he will create circumstances that will take away your peace or joy. He may even bring along certain people (even good Christian people) who will irritate you and get you into strife. He will put sickness and disease upon you and try to tell you that God did this to you, that you have to "suffer for Jesus". He will tell you that you are no good, and that you even deserve what you are getting.
So how do you get rid of these "dark" thoughts?
Things to Remember:
- I am not doing this by myself. I am not alone.
Jesus said, "Take My yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart; and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For My yoke is easy, and my burden is light." Matt. 11:29&30 Remember that I am yoked together with Him. He is my partner, and He is doing this with me. - I yield myself to God and let Him order my steps.
I choose to yield to Him every minute of the day, in every situation. All the time. How do we yield ourselves to God? Romans 6:16 says "Know ye not that to whom ye yield yourselves, servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey, whether of sin, unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness." If we yield ourselves to the devil, we are doing what he is telling us to do. If we yield ourselves to God, we are doing what He tells us to do. I would suggest that you pray a prayer of consecration and dedication to God daily, to declare out of your mouth that you are yielded to Him, in you spirit, your soul and body. - Resist the devil at his onset.
James 4:7 says "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." Don't wait until this thing has become firmly entrenched in your life. Resist the devil when you recognize the attack, and if necessary, go find another believer to stand with you for victory. - Have faith in God.
A Double minded man will receive nothing from God, but if you have faith, you can remove mountains. It is impossible to please God without faith. Fear is faith in the negative, or faith in the power of the devil to hurt you. Who is stronger, God or the devil? Who do you put your faith in? "A double minded man is unstable in all of his ways." - Ask for Wisdom.
James 1:5 says "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not, but let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. - Keep a journal of your thoughts.
Determine where they are coming from, and whether they are "light thoughts" or "dark thoughts". If you recognize "dark thoughts," speak to that thing, and say "that's not my thought." and then find the "light thought" to replace it in the Word of God.

Would you like to participate in sending people out on the missions field? If you would like to give financially, and be a blessing to thousands of people, I would like to give you the opportunity to help. I believe that when we give, it is given back to us, and God multiplies it so that it is more than we can contain.
