The Dry Places
I have longed for the wave of God's Glory, and we have seen a foretaste of it in the wave that went through the earth in the 90's, and now my heart crys out for more and I hunger and thirst for it more than ever. It seems that the hearts of people have grown cold, and the people who were so on fire for God are now back to "playing church again. I have felt dispair for the church, and cried out to God for what He showed me was coming, and now it seems that everyone wants to put "God in a Box , and do things their own way.
"Oh, Lord, we need you so much now more than we have ever needed you! Oh God, come in your Glory. We need your sweet Presence and a refreshing here both in your church and in this world. Your ministers have said that this year would be the year of Glory and the fullness of God, and where is that? Help us Lord. We have fallen away from our first love, and gotten into programs. Lord, deliver us from our own programs. We want Your way and Your plans and Your path to travel. We want your fire and your flood and your Glory and your presence. God, if Your presence does not go with us, we don't want to go at all. I thank you Lord, for the vision of the flood of your Glory, and I know that this is coming, but let it come quickly. We are not willing to settle for what we have."
So is my heart's cry... But then God reminded me of the tsunamis that came through last year in Indonesia. The devastation was great from that wave, and hundreds of thousands were killed. The news media reported it intensively, and documentaries were aired on television about tsunamis and that dynamics of those waves.
One that I watched on the Discover Channel told how tsunamis are not just a single wave. They are a series of waves, and when one comes into shore, the first wave hits, and it is big, but then it gets sucked back out to sea, and then there is a dry period where even the fish that were in the water are laying on dry ground. They reported that in Japan, when this would happen, the people would run out to catch those fish and pick them up, but they had to hurry, because the next wave was coming.
That is where I feel that we are right now. In that place where one wave has come in, and now there is dry ground, and those of us who go out for ministry are picking up the souls that are there, but we must do it quickly, because the next wave is coming.

Would you like to participate in sending people out on the missions field? If you would like to give financially, and be a blessing to thousands of people, I would like to give you the opportunity to help. I believe that when we give, it is given back to us, and God multiplies it so that it is more than we can contain.
