Apologetics
The Greek word "apologia" means "defense", and was originally defined as a defendant's response to the prosecutor in a court of law. The Christian apologist uses logic and reason, connected with the facts, in order to give an accurate defense for their beliefs. Many people believe that, as this is basically a defensive technique, it allows the unbeliever to set the agenda for the debate. However, the apostle Paul used apologetics when he dealt with the Greeks and Romans of his day. In Acts the 26th chapter, Paul presents a case to King Agrippa. In verse 28, "Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian."
There are many Christian Apologetics sites on the Internet. The following sites are a few of them, and my listing them here is not an endorsement of the content on these sites. If you do a search on the internet, you will find many sites and web pages that are made for apologetics.
